Bruce Byron Lind, 62, died Saturday, October 1, 2011.
Born in Akron, OH he was the son of the late Byron and Ardeene Rogers Lind. Bruce was a very spiritual man as well as a loving husband, father and friend. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict as a combat engineer. He was an inventor, self-employed gunsmith and had worked as a mechanic of Mercedes Benz for many years.
Survivors include his wife; Catherine G. Lind of Hull; daughter: Erin Gwen Lind of Athens; son: Eric Bruce Lind of Hull; sisters: Mayris Kertcher of Atlanta, Adee McFarland of Atlanta and grandson: Keenan Ambrose Orion Smith.
The family will receive friends and family for a viewing from 6 to 8 Tuesday at the funeral home with military honors accorded at 6PM.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Georgia State Botanical Gardens.
