Brenda Gail Townsend, born on May 17, 1945, in Fulton County, GA, passed away on November 23, 2025, at her home. She was 80 years old. Brenda was a dedicated in-home caretaker in the Bogart area and known for her warm heart and caring nature. Brenda was a member of Victory Baptist Church and also attended Bogart First Baptist Church, along with several other churches in the Bogart area. She had a strong faith that guided her through life. Brenda leaves behind her beloved children: Angie Townsend (Cory) Whitfield, Tammy Townsend (Wayne) Loggans, and Dorothy Townsend. She also is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sharron Townsend, and her sister, Loraine Blanton. Brenda was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren, loving great-grandmother to twenty-three great grandchildren, and cherished great-great-grandmother to four great-great-grandchildren. She shared a special bond with her niece, Linda Henderson, and her adopted sister, Dana O'Dillon (Bryan) James. Brenda will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Gene Townsend, her son, Larry B. Townsend, and her siblings, Ann Rossi, Merle Wheeler, Mary Nichols, Jerry Wortham, Harold Wortham, Terry Wortham, Donnie Wortham, and Peggy White. Visitation will be held on November 25, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes Watkinsville, located at 1211 Jimmy Daniel Road, Watkinsville, GA 30677. The funeral service will take place the following day, November 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at the same location.
