Bracton Lee Godbee, "Lee", 83, of Bogart, passed away on March 13, 2026. Born on November 28, 1942 in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Bracton W. Godbee and Evelyn Alford Godbee.
Lee was someone who loved socializing and connecting with others making his job as a delivery driver for UPS, from which he retired after 25 years of service, an ideal position for him, allowing him to meet people from all walks of life. His grandchildren brought him great joy and brought out the best in him..
Lee served in the Air Force, reflecting his deep love for this country. In his home office there is a quote he proudly displayed: "It is nice to be important but it is more important to be nice." This quote reflected the honorable traits he exhibited such as honesty, kindness and integrity. He made a lasting impression on his family and those around him by leading by example.
