Bobby "B.G." Gene Miller, Sr.

Reverend Bobby Gene “B.G.” Miller, Sr., 84, husband of nearly 69 years to Pearl Yvonne Miller, died Sunday, December 13, 2020. Born in Risco, MO, he was the son of the late Reverend Cecil Arthur Miller and Eva Elizabeth Fowler Miller.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters; Virginia Killian, Geraldine Watson, Deborah Bolden.

Rev. Miller began his ministry in 1956, in Dyersburg, Tennessee. He founded The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and pastored there from 1956-1963.  In January of 1964, Pastor B. G. Miller accepted the pastorate of the East Booneville Pentecostal Church in Booneville, Mississippi and served there 1 year. In August of 1966, the Miller family moved to Crawford, Georgia, after accepting the pastorate of the Crawford Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, now known as Crawford Pentecostal Church. He served the Crawford church for 35 years. After retiring he continued to minster in various churches and In January of 2003 accepted the pastorate of the First Pentecostal Church of Scotts Hill, TN, where he for served for 3 years. Since 2015 Rev Miller has served as Associate Pastor of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Colbert, GA.

During his more than 6 decades of ministry, Rev. Miller was privileged to minister in approximately 200 churches in 11 different countries and six continents.

Survivors in addition to his wife include their children Bobby G Miller, JR., (Cindy F), Larry Miller, Marilyn Perry and Kevin Miller (Cindy L), his Step Mother Carrielee Hardin, Two sisters; Naomi Gothard and Priscilla Turnbo, 12 grandchildren; Nicole (Rodney) Hicks, Tonya (Phillip) Nelson, Crystal Miller, Brandon Miller, Tosha Perry, Dustin Miller, Ashley (Nate) Barnett, Blake (Bethany) Miller, Brent (Victoria) Miller, Tori Johnson, Dallas Miller, Levi Miller; 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held at Crawford Pentecostal Church on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 2:00 with Pastors Tim Hammond, Blake Miller and Bobby Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Athens Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends one and a half hours prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, Colbert.
