Bobby Jack Wells

Bobby Jack Wells, 70, husband of Jean Williams Wells, died September 4, 2013. A native of Athens, he was the son of the late Hoke Smith Wells and Violet Thompson Wells. He retired from South Wire as a machine operator and was an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan. Survivors in addition to his wife include his children: Bobby Wells of Colbert, Lisa Smith of Arnoldsville, Mike Wells of Winterville, Randall Wells of Winterville; sister: Gloria Dixon of Athens; brother: Larry Wells of Katie, TX; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 1PM at Lord & Stephens East Chapel with Rev. Chris Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Athens Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 at the funeral home Friday, September 6, 2013. Lord & Stephens East is in charge of arrangements.
