Bobbie Gilmore

Bobbie Ione Gilmore, age 89, of Bishop, GA passed away peacefully on March 28th, 2023. Bobbie was born on March 9th, 1934, to Jessie and Minnie Barfield in Tifton, GA. Bobbie graduated from Tift County High School in 1952. She met her husband Rod Gilmore while he was stationed at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, GA during his last year of service, and they were married on August 7th, 1955.

Bobbie loved people and thrived on good conversation. She was a believer in Jesus Christ and delighted in sharing Christ’s love with others.

She is survived by her three children, Rod Gilmore (Loretta), Susan Collar, and Mark Gilmore (Allison), one brother, Billy Barfield of Adel, GA, thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 12:00 P.M. March 31st, 2023 at Oconee Chapel 2370 Highway 53 Watkinsville , GA, with a graveside service at 1:00 P.M. at Oconee Memorial Park in Watkinsville, GA.
