Billie Doster

A lifelong resident of Madison County, she was a daughter of the late John Montgomery Black and Bonnie Hitt Thompson. Mrs. Doster was a longtime member of Hull Baptist Church where she was active with The Faith Sunday School Class, the Sonshiners and was Chairman of The Bereavement Committee for a number of years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Leon Doster; siblings, Jack Leon Thompson, John Wesley Thompson, Sr. and James Robert Black. 

Survivors include her children, John Randall Doster, Robin Doster Epps, Ronald Leon Doster and James Ryan Doster; siblings, Timothy Reese Thompson, Jeannette Thompson Hardeman, Faye Thompson Bond, Marjie Thompson Stevens and Linda Black Harris; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 3:00 at Lord and Stephens, Danielsville. Interment will follow in the Winterville Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
