Betty Ann Tatum, 74, died July 17, 2005.
A native of Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Lois C. Carter and widow of Leonard H. Tatum. Mrs. Tatum was preceded in death by a sister, Ellen Marie Hagwood and granddaughter, Amanda Kay Tatum.
Mrs. Tatum was retried from Jefferson Mills and Roses Department Store. She was currently activity director for Oglethorpe County Senior Citizens Center. She was an active member of Mt. Pleasant Apostolic Church.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Pleasant Apostolic Church. Revs. B.G. Miller, Douglas Hammond and Danny Disher will officiate. Interment will be in Crawford Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Chuck and Jo-Anne Tatum of Crawford; brother, Charles Alden Carter of Athens; 2 grandsons, Eric Tatum and Louie Branco and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Youth Fund or Mt. Pleasant Building Fund, 1244 Comer Road, Crawford, Georgia 30630.
