Athens - Bessie Burt, 91, died August 8, 2005.
A native and lifelong resident of Clarke County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Hattie King Bullock, and the window of James Carl Burt. She was also preceded in death by a son, James Alton Burton and granddaughter, Tracy Lynn Kilgore.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 11, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Rev. Elmer Butler will officiate. Interment will be in Whitehall Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Betty Kilgore, Christie and Joe Mann, all of Athens; sister, Lucy Bone of Athens; grandchildren, Kimberly and Chris Etheridge of Sugar Hill and Denise Mann of Dunwoody; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
