Benjamin Joseph "BJ" Ivie

Benjamin Joseph “B.J.” Ivie, 48, died September 4, 2025.

Born December 28, 1976, he was a son of Ronnie and Teresa Ivie. B.J. was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of his life he was a building contractor but also enjoyed his time farming and landscaping. He was a dedicated member and former deacon of High Shoals Christian Church and had also served on the High Shoals City Council. B.J. was always eager to help others and had a personality bigger than life.

Memorial services will be Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM at High Shoals Christian Church with Rev. Jeff Thomas officiating.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife of twenty-five years, Mary Ryann Ivie, children, Ben Ivie and Mary Lauren Ivie; siblings, Andy (Michelle) Ivie and Jay (Kathy) Ivie.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, WEST, Watkinsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to High Shoals Christian Church.
