Beatrice Whitney

Beatrice Parkhill Whitney, 105, of Athens died Monday, November 2, 2015. Born in Cornwall VT to the late David Arthur and Irene Atwood Parkhill, Beatrice is also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Erwin Whitney, and her three sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Mahoney, son, James Whitney, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Beatrice was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, spent much time volunteering at the Georgia State Botanical Gardens, and was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Athens. A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 8th at 3:00 P.M. at Covenant Presbyterian Church.
