Barbara Lynn Witcher

Barbara Lynn Witcher, 77, wife of 29 years to Richard Neil Witcher, died on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

Born in Rockingham, NC, she was the daughter of the late Richard Turner and Ila Mae Webster Turner and sister to the late Patricia Leachman, Gloria Campbell and Linda Minnish. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors in addition to her husband include three children: Rhonda Howington, Lorie (Dennie) Edwards, James (Margaret) Hembree; step children: Russell (Yadira) Witcher, Andy Witcher and Alan (Heather) Witcher; grandchildren: Brandon Elrod, Angela Fields, Veronica Acosta, Vaughn Howington, James Robert Hembree, Brittany Thomas, Stephen Hembree, Serinti Correll, Kailyn Witcher, Laynie Witcher, Levi Witcher, Joshua Chaneney, Benjamin Witcher, Luke Witcher, Clara Witcher, Russell Witcher, Jr. and Jacob Wither and great aunt, Ruth Burns.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 2PM at Lord and Stephens East Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12PM until 2PM prior to the service.
