Barbara Ann Ledford

Barbara Ann Ledford, 68, of Crawford passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023 after an extensive illness.

A lifelong resident of Oglethorpe County, she was born on October 13, 1954 to the late Fred & Bobbie Burgess.  She is also preceded in death by her sister, Sheryl Bridges and brother, Dennis Burgess.  She retired from Superior Pants and later went back to school to obtain her GED.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 42 years, Wayne Ledford, who took care of her until the very end.  She is also survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Brandi & John Nelson, brother & sister-in-law, Keith & Denise Burgess, several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins, whom she loved with all her heart.

She always said, “Everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die.”  Our hope is that she is now rejoicing in Heaven with so many that went before her.  No formal service will be held but the family would covet your prayers for the days ahead.
