Barbara Jean King

Barbara Jean King, 91, of Watkinsville, peacefully passed away on July 11, 2025.

Born in Canon, GA, she was the daughter of the late Emory Frank Mabry and Mary Elizabeth Westmoreland Mabry. In her free time, she enjoyed tending to her garden, giving each flower special attention. She was known for being very loving and generous, and at the end of the day, nothing was more important than spending time with her beautiful family.

Barbara is survived by her sister Kathleen Phillips; brother, Bruce Mabry; along with six nieces and nephews, Les, Rick, David, Laney, Sandy, and Donna.

Along with her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her sister Ann Mabry Rudeseal; brother, Frank Lanier Mabry (Neecie); and nieces Kathy Lacoy and Jennifer Jenkins.

Funeral services for Mrs. King will be held Monday July 14, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Bogart United Methodist Church in Bogart. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time. Interment to follow at Oak View Cemetery also known as Bowers Memorial Park, or Canon City Cemetery.
