Amelia Mize Williford

Amelia Mize Williford, 90, of Commerce, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

Born in Royston, GA, she was a daughter of the late Roy Mize and Lucy Emma Pulliam Mize. Mrs.

Williford retired from the Clarke County School System as the School Dietitian and was known for her incredible cinnamon rolls. She was a longtime faithful member of lla Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garry L. Williford and her daughter, Rebecca Faye "Becky" Echols.

Survivors include her daughters, Karen Williford Lewis (John) and Sylvia Williford Carter; sister, Phyllis Bailey: grandchildren, Travis Echols (Jalisa, Jennifer Hardeman (Kimmy), Sabrina Carter, Kristen Horton (Wesley) and Destiny Waldhour (Geoffrey); great-grandchildren, Madison Carter, Karlee Horton, Jordan Adamson, Tanner Horton, Easton Horton, Ellie Bradberry, Collins Bradberry, Amelia Waldhour, Claire Waldhour and Hattie Waldhour and two nieces, Kim Barker and Michelle Gehman.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, Danielsville. Interment will follow in Nancy Hart Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
