Amber Ann McWhorter

Amber Ann McWhorter, 32, of Watkinsville, GA died on November 29, 2023.

The mother of Anastasia and daughter of Brett and Laurie McWhorter, Amber lived in Oconee County throughout her life. She worked as a home healthcare aide for Home Instead and was about to graduate with her bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field. Her career in healthcare was a reflection of her personality: loving and kind, always caring for others. She was a glorious spirit who loved nature and her family. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and mother.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Burnett P. McWhorter, grandmother, Jane H. McWhorter, and her uncle, Jaimin McWhorter.

Amber is survived by her daughter, Anastasia McWhorter; her parents, Brett and Laurie McWhorter; brother Matthew Kelley; grandmother Char Manny; aunts Kristin McWhorter, Cynthia Kunath (Randy), and Jenny Krapf; uncle Bruce McWhorter; nephew Tristan Smith; and cousins Tabitha Pallo, Joshua Kunath, Caleb Kunath, Harper McWhorter and Lucas McWhorter.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Lord and Stephens, West Chapel in Watkinsville from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held following the visitation at Thomas Cotton Gin in Watkinsville,
