Amanda W Werth

Amanda W. Werth 42 of Crawford passed away December 10, 2020. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dan & Mildred McAvoy and West & Eleonor Thurmond. Amanda graduated from Oglethorpe High school and then attended and graduated from Athens Technical College with a nursing degree.

In addition to being a mom to 4 kids and Meme to 2 grandchildren, Mandy was a mother to “her babies” in the NICU at St. Marys Hospital. She was passionate about her job where she was able to love and care for the newborn babies and help their families adjust during those first few weeks.  She always went above and beyond to help those in need, especially children.

She is survived by husband, Tom Werth; parents, Donald Lynn & Claudia Thurmond McAvoy; four children, Zachary Werth, Megan Whatley, Hope (John) Wilson Reynolds and Reece Whatley; sister, Tammy (Chris) Gordy; grandchildren, James Reynolds and Qohen Reynolds; two aunts and 3 uncles; niece and nephews, Mitchell Gabriel, Daniel Gabriel, Emma Gordy and Brittan Gordy.
