Crawford - Mrs. Alma G. McCannon, 79, died August 22, 2005.
A native of Jackson County, she was a daughter of the late Iva Helton and Clyde Washington McDondald, and the widow of James E. McCannon. She was also preceded in death by a son, Dennis McCannon. She was a homemaker and a member of Crawford Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 24, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Rev. Chuck Tatum will officiate. Interment will be in Burtís United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include a son and daughters-in-law, James A. and Betty McCannon of Monroe, Faye McCannon of Elberton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Betty McDonald of Athens, David and Florence McDonald of Winterville, Billy McDonald of Greenwood, SC; two sisters, Hilda Clements of Greenwood, SC, and Cora Ann Englin of Royston; three grandchildren; one grandchild.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
