Blanche (Fortson) Carter

Blanche Fortson Carter, 86, died April 13, 2014.
A native of Danielsville, GA, she was a daughter of the late Christopher Columbus and Naomi Chatham Fortson. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-seven years, Elmo Carter; five sisters, Mattie Lou Bryant, Ola Bridges, Ruby Hamby, Annie Sue Roling and Mary Campbell; and five brothers, Tom Ed Fortson, Cliff Fortson, Will David Fortson, Jay Fortson and Darwin Fortson.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 11:30 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, Danielsville with Rev. Eddie Bouknight officiating. Interment will follow at Colbert Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Ward (Bob) of Watkinsville, Pat Pinckard (Jim) of Colbert and Regina Benson (Phil) of Danielsville; grandchildren, Kay Clifton (Rodney) of Comer, Chris Pinckard (Jamie) of Colbert, Kevin Ward (Maggie) of Bishop, Kellie Ward of Athens; great grandchildren, Maura Clifton, Lauren Clifton, Kasey Clifton, Sam Ward, Haley Ward, Myles Ward and Caitlin Wilson.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Roling, Franklin Fortson, Barry Hicks, Gary Cobb, Cody Cobb and John Waggoner.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
