Roselle Shelton Culbertson, 92, of Colbert, passed away on October 8, 2019.
Roselle loved gardening, fishing, and her family, which included everyone she met. She was everyone’s Mama, always looking after people, never getting mad, and treating everyone as if they were special to her. She was the best mother and grandmother.
Roselle was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Culbertson; her parents, Robert and Radie Peck Shelton; her daughter, Jean C. Buice; her sister, Betty L. Phillips; and her brother, Eddie Jo Shelton.
She is survived by her son, Hugh (Elaine) Culbertson; sister, Margaret S. Banks of Sharpsburg, GA; brother-in-law, Darrell Phillips of Carmichael, CA; sister-in-law, Beverly Shelton of Fairburn, GA; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, along with several nieces, nephews, and close friends who loved her dearly.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Quiet Oaks, who made her final home a good one.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 10, at Lord and Stephens, East Chapel at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Winterville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Curtis Adams, Wayne Sorrow, Cody Culbertson, Drew Huff, David Huff, and Todd Huff.
