“Papa” Jimmy Eugene Holloman, 79, of Crawford, died January 7, 2020.
Born in Carlton, GA, he was a son of the late Harry E. and Ruby Gunter Holloman and was preceded in death by his great grandson, Cohen Brown and siblings, Frances Holloman King, Bud Holloman, Helen Holloman Bailey, Ann Holloman Chambers and George Holloman.
Jimmy was a member of Glade Baptist Church and regularly attended Crawford Baptist Church.
He loved football and was a referee with the Georgia High School Football Association for 40 years. Jimmy was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired from Reliance Electric after 30 years of service. Following his retirement, he enjoyed setting bank hooks, hunting and camping at the deer camp and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by his family and many friends in the community.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Jan Bridges Holloman; children, Tami Hill (Charles) and Jim Holloman (Julie); siblings, John Cecil Holloman, Walter Allen Holloman, Bobby Holloman, Martha Holloman Fortson and Harriette Holloman; grandchildren, George Brown, Jordan Brown, Nolan Holloman, Brinley Holloman and J.C. Holloman; great grandchildren, Kole Brown, Maniya Brown, Jayce Brown, Kendon Brown, Broughton Brown, Baylor Brown and Gracy Brown.
The family will receive friends at Lord and Stephens, EAST, 4355 Lexington Road, Athens, GA Saturday, January 11, 2020 beginning at 10:30 AM. Services will be in the chapel at 12:00 noon with Rev. Brett Mask and Rev. John Parker officiating. Interment will be in Crawford Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Keith Holloman, Matt King, Cody King, Alan Simmons, George Brown, Jordan Brown, Kole Brown, Tony Resop, Nolan Holloman and J.C. Holloman.
