Obituary
Martha Eleanor McCarty, 92, died on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Born in Madison County, GA she was the daughter of the late Homer McCarty and Nellie Landers Lord. She worked at Southern Bell as an operator and Dupont in manufacturing. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 25 years. Survivors include her siblings: Vivian Russum, Barbara Ann Franklin, Bobby McCarty and Jimmy McCarty and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 11AM at Meadow Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 10AM at the funeral home prior to the service.
