We understand; the topic of death is a very sensitive issue for most people. It is often a time of great sadness, emotional confusion, and financial strain. However, it doesn't have to be! We're here to help you present the community you serve with the knowledge and tools they need to make thoughtful decisions for themselves and the people they care about the most--their families.
WHY COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAMS?

- An increased need in the community for pre-planning information
- It's often not an easy subject to talk about and take the initiative to engage in
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Casual & Comfortable- We know that not everyone is comfortable walking into the funeral home to get their questions answered so we created these events to speak to people in more familiar and informal settings.
- Informative - During these casual events, we share information on a variety of pre-planning topics and answer basic questions.
- No Pressure-Apart from our Lunch & Learn events, no appointments are scheduled at our Community Education Programs. We desire solely to get this information into the hands of as many people as possible. Anyone, of course, is welcome to reach back out to us should they want to pursue the pre-planning process.

Veterans Presentations
We often find that many veterans are unaware of the benefits available to them from the VA. So we take it upon ourselves at Lord & Stephens to educate our brave men and women about all the options open to them.

Lunch & Learn Presentations
Our Lunch & Learns are a great opportunity to enjoy a complimentary meal on us and get some of your pre-planning questions answered in a relaxed and casual setting.

- Held monthly at local area restaurants throughout Clarke, Madison, Oconee, and Oglethorpe counties
- Advertised and promoted through Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes
- Appointments are set at the end of the presentation
- As a former pastor, our Advance Funeral Planner Ray Finger, is a uniquely qualified person to engage in this discussion
- Provides an engaging spiritual perspective to pre-planning
- No appointments set at our Faith-Based Presentations
