Opened in the early 1970's, Oglethorpe Chapel is located 12 miles east of Athens, in Oglethorpe County. The business was acquired by Lord and Stephens in 1993 and moved to the current location in 1998.

Built as a private residence in 1899, the facility was restored for funeral home use, maintaining its original charm and elegance.
